Cristiano Ronaldo doesn’t only win titles for Real Madrid or European Championships for Portugal, he plays poker too…and he’s pretty darn good at it. The former Manchester United forward took on Aaron Paul, who played the role of Jesse Pinkman in hit series Breaking Bad.
When asked about his love for Poker, Ronaldo was keen to express his enjoyment for the game and compared the ‘thrill’ he feels when playing it to football.
He says that he loves the surge of excitement he gets when challenging others, which is one of the main reasons he loves poker so much.
‘It provides me with a thrill that I normally only feel on the football pitch. The duels were challenging but also really fun.’
Ronaldo’s overall role as a brand ambassador for the world’s largest celebrity poker club is helping to introduce and promote poker to a gigantic audience yet to discover the game. He will make special appearances at major live poker events and online poker tournaments.
“I always bring the intensity, flair and determination I show on the football pitch to the poker tables. I love the game, and I’ve always loved the challenge of beating my opponents one-on-one. By joining the world’s biggest poker site, I can test my skills against the game’s best players and become one of them.”- Cristiano Ronaldo
