Peak a boo into these celebrity lifestyle

Troubled pop star Britney Spears spends an average of $16,000 a month on clothes. She spends about $4,758 on eating out, $10,250 on utility bills and $17,000 on automotive and other transportation costs. The clincher: She spends an average of $102,000 a month on “entertainment, gifts and vacation,” according to court filings in her child custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The best part? This is just a sneak-peak into the lives of celebs, it only goes upwards from here-

6. Madonna

Madonna has sold more than 300 million records around the world, making her one of the biggest-selling female artists of all time. She has constantly reinvented her music and image successfully and she has remained to be one of the most influential figures in contemporary music. Time Magazine considers her one of the 25 most powerful women of the 20thcentury. She has converted to the Kabbalah religion, a form of Judaism..

That’s right; the celebrity icon spends over $10,000 a month on blessed water for drinking and bathing. That isn’t it, she’s also known to spend an equivalent amount getting the holy water delivered to her posh residences all over the world. The hotels, cars & fashion shopping come a close second on her list compared to her holy water.

5. Owen Wilson

As funny on screen as he’s a gentleman in real life, Owen is a comedy actor popular for being laid-back and easy-going. Ironically, that easy-going myth was shattered when he attempted suicide after breaking up with his girlfriend, Kate Hudson. Owen enjoys splashing out on his appearance.

The A-list actor spends almost $4000 a week on tanning products and treatments that go alongside his tanning sessions. Let’s just say he’s really specific about his complexion.

4. 50 Cent

His real name is Curtis James Jackson III. He used to be a drug dealer back in the 80s when he was just 12 years old. He left the illicit trade to become a rapper in 2002. He soon achieved success with the help of Eminem and Dr. Dre. His 2003 album “Get Rich or Die Trying’” was certified to be eight times platinum. He now owns a record label called G-Unit Records.

His appearance on MTV Cribs led his home to be ranked as one of the greatest to appear on the hit television show (We all miss Cribs!). Supposedly, the rapper spends over $20,000 a week on security for his mansion. That amount is just the fixed cost over which arms and ammunition maintenance is additional! $20,000 is the average annual salary in certain parts of the US!

3. Victoria Beckham

Posh Spice Victoria Beckham married one of the brightest stars of English football. More than her singing, she has become known as a style icon. Her husband once played for AC Milan in Italy. She once went out shopping and spent $1.6 million in one afternoon. She bought 12 pairs of Versace shades, set of luggage from Louis Vuitton, five sofas and a Rolex for her husband, David Beckham.

Apparently, such shopping sprees are quite common for her and she has reportedly exceeded this amount often! Her shopping sprees are usually celebrated with a victory lap with food and drinks at Claridge’s

2. Kim Basinger

She took the world by storm with her steamy scenes from the 1986 movie “9½ weeks.” She then proved her acting mettle a decade letter by winning an Academy Award for her supporting role in “L.A. Confidential.” Basinger once bought a town in northeast Georgia called Braselton for $20 million. Along with other investors, she planned to turn it into a production studio and to develop a theme park. It didn’t work out and she eventually sold her share for just $1 million.

She’s is one of those celebrities who has splurged on investments rather than food, drink & hotels. It’s a pity though as most of them didn’t seem to work out for her, the rest have left her with enough to continue a celebrity lifestyle, the way every celeb wants to.

1. Larry Ellison

Larry Ellison is the co-founder and CEO of Oracle Corporation, one of the leading software enterprise companies in the world. With an estimated net worth of $41 billion, what’s half a billion to burn? He spent around that much for 98 percent of Lanai, the sixth biggest island in Hawaii. The remaining two percent are either government land or private homes. He beat out Bill Gates for this privilege.

Here are a his other real-estate escapades-

In February, Ellison reportedly purchased 21 more residential properties near the Four Seasons Resorts Lanai at Manele Bay, spending a little more than $41 million. According to Pacific Business News, Ellison has accounted for 21 of the 26 real estate purchases that have taken place in Lanai’s Manele Bay since mid-2012.

Rumor has it that Ellison and Nobu Matsuhisa, the mastermind behind the Nobu sushi chain, have plans to convert the historic Casa Malibu Inn into a high-end Japanese concept hotel. Ellison purchased the property for $20 million in 2007.

Ellison bought Porcupine Creek from Yellowstone Club founders Tim and Edra Blixseth for $42.9 million in 2011. The private golf club, which is located in Rancho Mirage, Calif., includes a main house with a whopping 16 bedrooms, in addition to several separate guest houses.

One could say apart from Oracle, buying real-estate seems to be his life’s calling!
